I strive to establish an environment that empowers my students in a space fertile with creativity, radical acceptance, and openness for students from every background to explore themselves through their art. My job as a teacher is not to simply assign and grade work, but it is to be a supporter in guiding them towards a more confident path within themselves by strengthening their voices through the different techniques, mediums, and concepts surrounding art. By doing this it will help open up children's minds to how open the art world is and how there is a place in it for everyone, I believe I could be a big help with guiding them to find their place in a pretty complex realm.
